Munich Carnival – Event Rules & Festival Terms
These rules apply to all Munich Carnival events and venues during the Munich Carnival Weekender.
By purchasing a ticket and attending the event, visitors agree to comply with the following rules.
- Minimum Age
Munich Carnival events are generally 18+ unless otherwise stated.
Visitors may be asked to present a valid ID at the entrance.
Entry may be refused if proof of age cannot be provided.
- Security Checks
Security checks may be conducted at all entrances.
Visitors agree to bag checks and security screening if required.
The following items may be prohibited:
- weapons or dangerous objects
- illegal substances
- outside food or drinks
- glass bottles
- fireworks or explosives
- professional recording equipment without accreditation
Security staff reserve the right to refuse entry.
- Behaviour & Respect
Munich Carnival celebrates Caribbean culture, music and community.
Visitors are expected to behave respectfully toward:
- other guests
- staff and security
- performers and artists
Harassment, discrimination, aggressive behaviour or violence will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the event without refund.
- Alcohol Policy
Alcohol is served responsibly and in accordance with German law.
The organiser reserves the right to:
- refuse alcohol service
- remove intoxicated guests from the event
Visitors are responsible for their own alcohol consumption.
- Powder / Colour Party Notice
Certain events (e.g. Powder Fetes) may include coloured powder effects.
By attending these events visitors acknowledge that:
- powder may stain clothing
- powder may come into contact with hair, skin or accessories
Visitors should wear appropriate clothing.
Munich Carnival is not responsible for damage to clothing or personal items caused by powder effects.
- Dress Code
Munich Carnival is a celebration of carnival culture and creativity.
Visitors are encouraged to dress in colourful, festive or carnival-inspired outfits.
However, clothing must remain respectful and comply with venue regulations.
The organiser reserves the right to deny entry in case of inappropriate attire.
- Mobile Event Locations (Party Tram etc.)
For events taking place in mobile venues such as a Party Tram, visitors must follow all safety instructions given by staff.
The following rules apply:
- no leaning out of windows or doors
- no interference with vehicle operation
- follow instructions from transport staff
Failure to comply may result in removal from the event.
- Re-Entry Policy
Depending on the venue, re-entry may not be permitted once a visitor has left the event area.
Visitors should check the specific rules for each event.
- Lost & Found
Munich Carnival is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Lost items may be handed to staff or security and can be claimed at the event venue where possible.
- Photography & Media
By entering the event area visitors consent to photography and video recordings that may include them.
These materials may be used by Munich Carnival for:
- social media
- marketing
- press coverage
- promotional materials
- Compliance with Venue Rules
All visitors must comply with the rules and regulations of the respective event venue.
Instructions from venue staff, security personnel and organisers must be followed at all times.
- Removal from Event
The organiser reserves the right to remove any person from the event who:
- violates these rules
- endangers others
- disrupts the event
In such cases no ticket refund will be granted.
